Fredericton, NB – August 5, 2026 – The Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick (AANB) is proud to announce the launch of its new Workforce Development website, a centralized online hub created to support employers, job seekers, students, and industry partners while helping address workforce challenges across New Brunswick’s agri-food sector.
As the demand for skilled and reliable workers continues to grow, the website provides a single destination where users can access workforce resources, explore career opportunities, connect with employers, and learn about programs that support the long-term growth of the province’s agricultural industry.
The new platform reflects AANB’s ongoing commitment to strengthening New Brunswick’s agri-food workforce by improving access to information, supporting recruitment efforts, promoting careers in agriculture, and creating stronger connections between employers and individuals looking to build a future in the industry. The work completed would not be possible without the ongoing support from the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries and the Department of Post-Secondary Education and Labour.
The website includes a variety of resources designed to meet the needs of both employers and job seekers, including:
- Shared Workforce Program – A recruitment service connecting agri-food employers with workers already living in Canada. The program helps employers recruit, match, and hire workers while supporting job seekers in finding meaningful employment opportunities within the sector.
- Job Hub – A centralized portal featuring employment opportunities from New Brunswick agri-food employers alongside relevant positions from the Canada Job Bank.
- Careers in Agriculture – Information about careers, training opportunities, career pathways, and emerging technologies that showcase the diversity of opportunities available throughout the agri-food sector.
- Student Opportunities – Internship, co-op, and career development opportunities designed to connect students with the agricultural industry.
- Employer Resources – Practical tools and information related to recruitment, workforce planning, funding opportunities, immigration pathways, and temporary foreign worker resources.
The website also features a “What’s Happening” section, providing visitors with current news, upcoming events, workforce initiatives, and announcements from organizations and partners supporting New Brunswick’s agri-food industry.
“People are at the heart of every successful farm and agri-food business. As workforce challenges continue to evolve, it is more important than ever that employers, job seekers, students, and industry partners have access to reliable information and practical resources. This new Workforce Development website brings those resources together in one place and reflects the Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick’s commitment to building a stronger, more connected, and resilient workforce for the future of agriculture in our province.”
— Danielle Connell, President, Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick
