FREDERICTON, March 30th, 2020- The Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick (AANB) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Belliveau as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1st, 2020.

“Anna Belliveau brings to the position of Chief Executive Officer a wealth of experience in all areas of agriculture policy development and administration gained from her work with the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture, and Fisheries (DAAF), as well as in her previous work experiences”, stated Lisa Ashworth, Alliance President.

Anna obtained her Bachelor of animal science as well as her Master of Science degree in Animal Molecular Genetics from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. She worked for several years for Post-Secondary Training and Labour as well as the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture, and Fisheries before joining the Agricultural Alliance. Anna is fluently bilingual and has experience in working on legislative frameworks and policies with agricultural groups, stakeholders, and various levels of government.

The Agricultural Alliance is New Brunswick’s general farm organization, promoting the social and economic interests of all NB farmers. Prior to assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer, Anna Belliveau has played an important role in facilitating operations at the Farm Business Registrar as well as analysing agricultural regulations with DAAF. She also was the acting Interim General Manager and Assistant Acting General Manager at the New Brunswick Farm Products Commission.
