Our Programs

Environmental Farm Plan

An Environmental Farm Plan is a voluntary, confidential, and proactive tool that can help producers assess the environmental strengths and potential environmental risks in their farm operations. As part of the EFP, producers develop their own action plans to address those strengths and risks and improve the environment.

The EFP Program encourages the adoption of beneficial management practices that enhance soil, water, and air quality, as well as biodiversity, all of which contribute to the sustainability of agriculture. AANB is delivering the EFP program in New Brunswick and encourages every producer to develop an EFP. The EFP Program is funded under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal, provincial, and territorial agreement on agriculture and agri-food policy.

Workforce Development NB is led by the Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick, which is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes the agricultural industry in New Brunswick. The Workforce Development NB Job Bank is a comprehensive online platform that connects agricultural employers with talented job seekers in New Brunswick.
This resource provides a simple and effective way to advertise job openings and connect with qualified candidates. Employers can post job positions, free of charge, for job seekers to apply for. This allows the job posts to reach a wider audience, particularly those interested in agriculture, while helping the employer find the best candidates quickly and easily.

New Brunswick Living Lab

Living Lab New Brunswick collaborates with farmers, industry and community stakeholders, and researchers to develop and evaluate climate-smart practices on farms. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, sequester carbon, improve farmer profitability, and strengthen the nation’s
